all that melts away, soon will be forgotten

What happens when one decides to break away from a love that seemed immutable? How does ones identity suffer and recover, because life always goes on? What do we want to keep from that person and which part inevitably melts away?

Habitants newest release is called Morgen (tomorrow) and deals with the trancience of love.
The song captures this emotion in the many whispering shoegaze guitar layers build upon the soft pulse of a heartbeat. Morgen is beautiful and dark in equal meassures.

The song is the second release of an upcoming album, set for release later in 2021.

Morgen is accompanied by a music video, directed by the band’s favorite art director Gema Pérez.

one love
bows to the soul
speak to me
wide eyes

one heart
caught on fire
a promise
to always love

a heart that melts away
soon will be forgotten

soon you’ll find
truth is a matter of time
but all that I am
hides under your skin

all that melts away
soon will be forgotten
but the river keeps running

all that I am
leaves all of your skin

all I am
is the purest part
of someone

But the river keeps running,
soon to be forgotten,
all washes away

Habitants literally wants to take you to another world.
